Abstract

The text illustrates the figure of Anna Maria Fundarò, architect and university professor, founder in the 1970s of the design school of the University of Palermo; is structured with a brief profile of A.M. Fundarò and a subsequent three-voice conversation between Mario Damiani Almeyda, custodian of the Damiani Almeyda Fundarò archive, Paola Barbera, architectural historian, Viviana Trapani who today teaches Design at the University of Palermo, directed by the OMA studio, curator of the Biennale Nomade Contemporary Art Manifesta, held in Palermo in 2018.The contribution of V.M. Trapani is central in outlining the scientific and didactic relevance and originality of Anna Maria Fundarò for the teaching and culture of design in Italy.
