Abstract
The paper examines a togated statue found on the site of Halaesa before the start of scientific investigations and carries out a re-contextualization, on the basis of the analysis of iconography, style and antiquarian data, in the bed of middle-imperial portraiture. The possibility of connection with the dedication of an honorary effigy for a rhetorician, found in Halaesa's agora, is examined and admitted.
