N2 - The social exclusion is described as the process that progressivelymarginalizes individuals, groups and communities from the labor market and fromthe access to basic services for health, education and transport. The ability to accessto (in a spatial sense of the term) the job, the education, the health services and otherservices is a key factor of social inclusion. Accessibility is important, not onlybecause facilitates the achievement of a regular job, stable and profitable, but alsobecause it is part of the social capital, the latter ensures the social relationships thatform a safety margin of the poor people. Accessibility is increasingly recognized asa key element of a sustainable, effective and efficient transport system. For manypeople, due to physical and economic reasons and/or even structural urban patterns, the movements in the area or in areas at greater distance can be difficult. The aim ofthis study is the identification and removal of barriers to mobility and access ofpublic transport services. Until when these barriers will be not removed, asignificant proportion of the population will continue to live in disadvantagedsituations, unable to move as they would like and, therefore, limited in theiropportunities to participate to the social life. The public transport plays the crucialrole in order to support policies of social inclusion, providing a mobility services forall citizens.
