The global crisis that has been assailing our planet at different levels - social, economic, political, cultural, and environmental - has created constant change in the quality of life in our cities. Unfortunately, cities are increasingly vulnerable and characterized by insecurity, uncertainty, and unpredictability due to past mistakes. This is why, urban planning is called upon today to satisfy the new needs of the community through a planning that must adapt to change. In this scenario, urban centers must re-examine their governance in order to ensure a high quality of life and the responsible management of territorial resources as well as, their strategies for expansion and transformation. It is necessary that they use new approaches and innovative concepts such as participation, transparency, creativity and resilience. Through resilience, the city makes use of its heritage by applying new organizational and management models capable of facing ongoing transformations; models that aim at sustainability and sustainable development. Scientific studies show that opportunities for transformation and innovation are possibilities for rethinking the very future of cities. A "resilient" approach in a sustainable key can play a strategic role: in the resolution of problems related to urban mobility and, more generally, to the relational aspects of the urban system characterized by a high concentration of population and services. In this work, particular attention is paid to sustainable mobility, the primary critical element for achieving a balance between the needs of individuals and the common well-being. We will make note of some cities that are investing heavily in this sector, aware that innovations in mobility and transport systems are essential for developing tourism and guaranteeing better livability in the cities of the future.
