Abstract

The present paper is not only a review of the literature on pelvic incidence parameter, is also designed to reflect anew to the actions of preventive andcompensatory physical activity, with particular reference to abdominalexercises. The incidence pelvic anatomy is a parameter whose value represents theangle between the perpendicular to the sacral plate at its midpoint and theline joining this point to the axis of the femoral head; it controls the spinalcurves in accordance with the adaptability other parameters. The studies analyzed here suggest new considerations to be applied in thedynamic execution of preventive and compensatory physical activity. The training of the muscles lumbar and abdominal represents a key point forthe maintenance of right posture and for the appropriate discharge of theforces on the spine. In both cases the changes of normal range, high or low incidence of pelvicexercises must be interpreted differently.
