To rethink a future for internal areas today means first of all deconstruct ing the idea of periphery and marginality they have been referred to for a long time (Decandia, 2016). A deconstruction that takes place through the adoption of a new point of view, a creative and generative rethinking of the territories in which sensitive languages and aesthetic rationality potentially act as devices. Many of these areas are today the incubator of a lush undergrowth in action, lands where artistic and cultural practices act using periphery as the focus of experimentation. Through contemporary art, these practices affect the territories triggering critical processes of understanding of reality, giving life to amorphous bodies, building new imaginaries through the deconstruction and reconstruction of collectivities and communities andof a common sense, re-enchanting and increasing the sense of possibilities through imaginative exercises (Sandercock, 2000). Among these Latronico, in the Pollino National Park, arises with ArtePollino and A cielo aperto as an interesting forge of experimentation on public art and as a cognitive device, helping the territory to recover a dimension of sociality and a conscience of itself through sensitive and creative action. Experiences in which the institutional and informal dimension, top-down and bottom-up approaches merge.
