Abstract
Communicating Italian design, intended as a Made in Italy product, implies a singular and dual design activity, that is the one that leads through the various sequential stages of communication design, to the realization of a communicative artifact in the last attempt to give a name, a face , a voice, a system of signs recognizable to a product design artifact. A close and two-way relationship that is interwoven between the two in a relationship that binds in two ways form and function, first in the product then in communication, finally in an indissoluble whole, in which the only design, characterized by its many names, becomes the only key to reading the speaking object. Something that goes well beyond problem solving, which is loaded along the path of meanings, contents, expressed between the links of a brand, a system of visual identity, a packaging, an exhibition, an advertising campaign, and imprints "marking it" on the object.
