PV/T Systems: Effect of both storage features and load configuration

Abstract

PV/T panels are innovative systems increasingly used inthe building sector. Their energy production and overallefficiency depend on several factors related to the sharesof electrical and thermal loads and to the workingtemperature of the operating fluid. Therefore, an optimalconfiguration should be found. In this work, a parametricanalysis was performed to provide a contribute on thisissue. The conclusive indications can be exploited bydesigners and researchers, to maximize the efficiency ofthe systems in relation to configurations and to bothelectrical and thermal loads.To this purpose a simulation model was designed andimplemented in a spreadsheet, using Visual BasicTMfunctions.
