Prevenire l’insuccesso scolastico nella scuola secondaria di primo grado: scuola e territorio dialogano

With the work of co-planning for the promotion of an integrated network between public and private subjects through the development of a system methodology, the design and implementation of support tools, a contribution was offered to combat the phenomenon of dispersion education and for the prevention of the risk of social marginality in adolescents in Palermo. The project involved 172 students, 171 parents and 29 teachers from three secondary schools of the first degree, 10 operators from the third sector of the Municipality of Palermo. It was assumed that to encourage the orientation dimension of the middle school it was necessary to encourage dialogue between the subjects that in the territory pursue scholastic-professional orientation purposes. Parallel to the training and orientation activities for the students, training seminars were organized for teachers and parents. The results are achieved with the activities carried out to encourage the continuation of the training path after middle school.
