Abstract

In this work the theme of the conference held inPalermo on June 15-16, 2018 on "CommonAgricultural Policy and Protection of the FinancialInterests of the Union" is introduced. Once theregulatory framework of reference has been identified, some of the regulatory gaps have beenidentified that currently do not make the objectiveof protecting the Union's financial interests fullyimplement the measures envisaged by the CAP. Itwas underlined that for the next programmingperiod of the CAP the multilevel regulatory systemwill return to identify the main actors of the memberstates. This would allow the legislators of themember states to intervene with more incisiveregulatory measures than those currently designedat European level in order to obtain bettercontrol of the financial flows aimed at achievingthe objectives set by the supranational legislator. It is concluded by proposing to the speakers thetask of verifying, in fact, in the various areas of thecurrent discipline of the CAP, the feasibility of anyadditions or corrections to suggest to the nationallegislator in view of future planning.
