From the adolescent age, genuine friendship lies behind several virtues of the heart and the intelligence of the true friend. For this reason, it is the "external image of an inner reality": of the consciousness in which it is formed and maintained as "distinct ethical essence", on the basis of the meanings of shared emotions, affections and feelings. Educational intentionality has the ability to guide the actions of the educator towards the "amicable be" that he must forge in the young people first with his example of a true friendly life and at the same time troghout the education of the six virtues that caracterize the authentic friend. Maybe only in this way it is possible to create friendships as a fruit of education, not caused by spontaneity and opportunity of the experience. An Adequate education in friendship leaves an indelible imprint on young people who see in it the birth and growth of the educational power that promotes the own its ideal self and that of own its friends.
