The article deals, through an analysis of a ruling by the Court of Cassation, with the principle of self-sufficiency of the transcription note. According to this ruling, in particular, only the content of the note must be considered in order to establish whether and to what extent a given act is opposable to third parties and this does not entail the autonomy of the transcription note with respect to the title
