Through the analysis of the Street Art book in Sicily. Guide to places and works, the article reaches more general reflections on the phenomenon of street art. It follows considerations on the city and on art that highlight the value of street art as an action in space with its political, socio-anthropological, architectural and semiotic implications that explain its function and functionality. Street art, a veritable visual narrative, thus becomes a litmus test as it is instantly capable of capturing, absorbing and visually reflecting the phenomenology of the contemporary.
