Abstract
The aim of this work is to perform a feasibilitystudy on the measurement and communication strategies forthe development of a new generation of interface devices fordistributed generators and their integration on smart grids. Thecommunication system can use one or more technologies, at thevarious levels, creating a low cost network infrastructure, in theframework of a SCADA (Supervisory Control and DataAcquisition) architecture. As regards the measurements, theattention is focused on the anti-islanding protection, based on ahybrid solution, which makes use of local measurements andcommunications with the grid, at both MV and LV level byemploying the PLC technology. Some simulation andexperimental results are presented, showing the feasibility ofthe proposed solution.
