Risultato della ricerca: Conference contribution

Abstract

Following research by the University of Palermo, a new overview of the sacred area located on the southern edge of the city of Akragas is proposed, so far perceived substantially through the best-known monumental temples (Olympieion and so-called Temple of Hercules) but in reality the result of a complex sequence of interventions of infrastructure and monumental reconfiguration, linked to the socio-political evolution and the economic-material growth of the city from its rise to the Roman conquest.
