Abstract

At school, when teaching how to understand a text, students to cope with a series of tasks areusually proposed to be performed mainly after reading, using an apparatus contained in educationaltextbooks. The theme of search is the definition of what reading skills, promoted bytexts of primary school. 70 reading books are the champion of the investigation; using an analyticalframework on purpose built, the operations requested to the pupil from the present exercisesand checks on the text in educational equipment, which should develop theunderstanding, interpretation and evaluation of reading in students, were verified. The datawere compared to those of standardized tests to measure levels of achievement in reading literacy;the results showed that reading books refer to different skills and methods of verification.
