At 2020-21, despite the difficult circumstances determined for the second consecutive year by the Covid-19 pandemic, the tests of the national durum wheat variety comparison network were conducted in Sicily. The experimental fields were set up in 5 Sicilian environments. The experimentation involved 30 varieties, of which 9 in the first year of evaluation. The production results found in the different locations appear very different and strongly influenced by the meteorological trends that occurred in the different areas of the island.
