Abstract
Since the Renaissance a great variety of tableware, over the centuries, even in Sicily, has enriched the refined houses of the local nobility, as evidenced by detailed inventories of movable assets of the families in the countless transfers of ownership, from dotal acts to wills; few, however, are the precious works that have survived to date, which show a cross-section of the instances of self-representation in society, and therefore also in politics, of the time.
