Friendship is a recurring experience in the lives of many boys and girls who feel the urgency of giving a sense of unity to all aspects of their personal existence, often fragmented and disconnected. This lack of unity, which attests to a need for guidance, seems to be the "fundamental problem" of today's adolescent and, at the same time, the "personal situation" in which he sees the difficulty and feels the effort to manage his inner world . Psychology and sociology know how to grasp the authentic forms of friendship that evolve in line with moral development, while attesting to the need that educators care for them. Pedagogy allows you to detect those friendly relationships that have a moral value for the person's growth, as it is possible to find also false friendships that are rather figures of moral underdevelopment. The basic thesis of the book is that true friendship must be structurally educational.
