N2 - The architectural recovery design, which has always been qualified by awide involvement of experts in the information-decision process, is characterizedby recent experiences in the promotion of collaborative knowledgemanagement tools, based on the cooperation between Researchers, Entrepreneurship,Public Administrations, NGOs and Citizens. These tools start from acritical reformulation of territorial intervention strategies, in line with the newroles of the local community towards objectives of resilience and sustainability.The paper presents the Collaborative Knowledge Laboratories experience promotedby the SITdA Cluster Recovery and Maintenance of the BuiltEnvironment, with a specific reference to the so-called slow territories. The Laboratoriesare intended as ‘itinerant’ experiences, aimed at re-empowering thepopulation and stakeholders to collaborate as local communities, interacting withthe public administrations in adopting management and adaptive settlementgovernance forms, with a co-planning and co-creation concept.
