The essay presents two experiments in the use of knowledge of archaeological materials with resins to other santetic materials, used in the Fifties in Sicily in the sites of the walls of Capo Soprano in Gela and in the theater of Eraclea Minoa in the province of Agrigento. After sixty years it offers a reconstruction of events and a balance of results. The interventions have not passed the test of time, rather they have damaged the archaeological material.
