Expressive writing used in the school as self-guidance tool for teens aged 17-18 years does not replace the teacher's educational intervention, but can be regarded as an effective technique to gather all the information needed to form, with the consent of the pupil and with him, an exhaustive picture that includes the current state of its skills, attitudes, interests, motivations, history of training, personality profile, limits, objectives and concrete ways in which it thinks to achieve these objectives. It is therefore an educational method by which students who approximate to do their final exams may guide themselves by formulating their personal life project, including professional life, as it enables them to better clarify ideas about university prospects, on the job they intend to do and how to prepare to do it.
