Abstract
The following case investigated is of particular importance because it represents the application of intervention strategies, as part of a multidisciplinary approach aimed at finding a way to exploit the ancient wonders of Pompeii, through the use of light. The project experiences, and experimental implementation have been carried out together with the Archaeological Superintendence of Pompeii. The mode of use, the characteristics of the luminaires were evaluated by experts, scholars and technicians, but also by visitors who have expressed their point of view and experiences, with questionnaires completed at the end of the visit of the archaeological site.
