Adfam Smith’s thought reached every corner of the world in a short lapse of time butmade its entrance through institutional, cultural, linguistic, religiousand political filters. These filters are not neutral and affected the reading,understanding and use of Smithian ideas. I chose the keyword ‘intellectualfilters’ to denote all of the contextual elements whose influencedetermines whether and how a foreign paradigm penetrates acountry and creates its effects.
