Abstract
The presence and the integration of migrants in the cities, leads to the articulation of new forms of urban life. By anempirical research conducted in 2007 in a suburb of the historical centre of Palermo, Palazzo Reale, the cognitive questionthat we posed to ourselves, was to observe whether the presence of migrants in an urban area traditionally “marginal” hastriggered off a transformation in its structure and in the structure of the relationship between these spaces.
