The pandemic has given some cities the opportunity to demonstrate the degree of competitiveness achieved and to become a reference model. In these contexts, immobility or sterile waiting did not prevail, but a fervent proactive and creative activity. This contribution aims to explore only one of the experiences of creativity and action within a certainly smart city, Florence. The case of the Uffizi Gallery demonstrates the ability of contexts with a high technological level and skills to brilliantly overcome the critical situations that, in their diversified configuration, may arise.
