The paper proposes a methodology for tracing active powerflow which also considers power losses partition. It requiresthe partition of the active power losses in each line overdifferent flow components. Then, the differences arisingfrom the selection of different criteria for the allocation ofthe mutual terms (deriving from the non-linearity of losses)are investigated. Power flows tracing and losses allocationat each generator (or load) must be carried outsimultaneously; therefore, a suitable order is required for theanalysis of nodes and lines in a network. A procedure for thedirect evaluation of all the components of the power flowsand of the losses in the lines assigned to the generators ispresented. The results over the 30 buses IEEE network arereported and a comparison with results obtained using othermethodologies allows to formulate some interestingconclusions.
