Abstract
"Impressions in Sicily" is the story of a small textile design company that has operated in Palermo from 1974 to 1994. Owner of the company is Regine Hildebrandt, a Swiss transplanted in Sicily.The birth of this workshop is part of that line of experiences designed to stimulate the process in which the encounter between the culture of design and craftsmanship, often linked to the traditions and resources of certain territories.The objects designed and manufactured by Regine have a lasting value for the quality of designs and materials, but above all, for his research project is intended to identify and proposition of "cultural traits and identity" through prototyping and the subsequent implementation series of products.
