This paper re-evaluates the filmic experience as a learning opportunity for the young people, because it provokes an imagination that allows them to give new meanings to reality. In particular, science fiction cinema is considered an unavoidable passage for the education of the personal identity, both for the adventurous aspect, which leads viewers to a more realistic vision of themselves, of the things and the other persons, both for the utopian vocation, that is, for the ability to imagine the future that gives them a way to know the present, to recover historical memory and to plan the future.
