The article examines the principal sources of Israeli law, pointing out the complexity of the legal system in which sources of different epochs and legal traditions meet. Moreover, the article deals with the influence of religious law in the legal sources, underlining the different modality in which the religious law affects the legal system. Finally, it also looks at the Parliament and the Supreme court’s role, which play a relevant function as solvers in the sources’s antinomy.
