Abstract

Actually is a time in which we act and we live delivered to the ephemerality and the transiency and silence is reaffirmed as educational need and it obtains an important role within the educational dialogue. Indeed it is a practice of care through it the contemporary human being can oppose to the banality of the chatter and of the non-authentic life. The pedagogic ‘900 rediscovered the educational value of silence and today this practice is proposed not only as an action to be quite, but also as a width of a new horizon of sense inside where we can to welcome the other, i. e. to entertain him. Winning the void’s fear, identified with the nothing for a long time, silence is not understood such as absence of something, but it is considered a space that makes possible an authentic dialogue communication.
