N2 - The research carried out for seven cycles in a row by the Doctorate in Architectural Design with administrative headquarters in Palermo, has developed and improved over time a specific methodology and an original approach to the field of “restoration of modern architecture”. This approach has allowed from an unusual point of view to recognize and recover several architectural works, that are almost completely ignored but certainly significant and worthy to be “acknowledged”. It is particularly interesting, also in relation to the topic, the research carried out onsome residential districts (for example, the two INA - Casa districts in Sicily), that has produced, through a circular work of analysis, design and critical review, some common foundational principles, on which must converge the reasons for their quality restoration.
