Il Caffè Arabo alla IV Esposizione Nazionale di Palermo: dai disegni di Ernesto Basile alla ricostruzione virtuale

This text studies the project for the Caffé Arabo designed by Ernesto Basile for the IV Esposizione Nazionale in Palermo, beginning with a revision of the original project drawings and of the graphic reproductions.The study belongs to the field of virtual reconstructions of no longer existing works of architecture, or those that remained on paper. It is the missing piece of a vaster and already published work that looks at the majority of the Exposition project.The virtual reconstruction can thus be considered a tool for the investigation and visualisation of an ephemeral work of architecture, in a nowadays lost part of the city.
