Through the analysis of the inventories made by the Counts of Caltabellotta during theperiod from the beginning of the fifteenth to the middle of the sixteenth century and actscertifying the exchange, sale and donation of feudal property, this essay investigates thefinancial situation of the Luna family, which had received, along with the title of Count,the huge inheritance of the Peralta. The analysis of unpublished documents reveals thatdespite the wealth manifest in the inventoried assets, the family also had significant debts.
