Gemelle diverse. The churches of the Holy Trinity of Delia and San Nicolò Regale in Trapani, Sicily

The work develops the necessary phases before arriving at a restoration project. The main objectives are: the study and historical-architectural analysis, the knowledge of the current management and enhancement of the two churches, the proposal of strategies to show the value of the remains of the past and to educate the new generations and the development of a method. In addition to the data collection "in situ" relative to the current conditions of the elements, their state of conservation and the documentation of existing pathologies, an architectural survey has been carried out to perform the comparative analysis of both churches and the proposals of action. The two architectures are the result of the same historical period and the same cultural matrix, they have been projected for the same function and that have the same stylistic elements, although now they are very different, originally they were "twin".
