Abstract

Field investigations and herbaria reference work carried out in Italy and Spain allowed us to identify wild and cultivatedplants of Tamarix meyeri, a new species from western Europe. This small tree is characterized by tetramerous, rarelypentamerous flowers and a paralophic disk.
