Abstract

We study the electrodynamic characteristics of an antenna having theform of an infinitesimally thin, perfectly conducting narrow striplocated on a plane interface of a resonant magnetoplasma and anisotropic medium. The antenna is perpendicular to an external magneticfield and is excited by a given voltage. Singular integral equations forthe antenna current, on the basis of which the current distribution isfound in the case of an infinitely long radiator, are obtained. Thelimits of applicability of an approximate method based on thetransmission line theory for determining the current distribution andinput impedance of the antenna are established. Within the framework ofthis method, the results obtained are generalized to the case of afinite-length strip antenna.
