Educare ad essere persona. Una riflessione a partire da María Zambrano

Abstract

One of the most significant element of Zambrano's thought is the constant invitation to be a person, namely a subject able to continuous ontogenesis in its relationship to otherness. For the Spanish thinker the education of being a person is the prominent aim of philosophy and this duty cannot be postponed in an era of crisis such as that of the post-war Europe. Still today we can seethe typical traits of the crisis which is for Zambrano a crisis of democracy. In this sense, Zambrano's position continues to be a matter of relevant teaching as the present essay tries to show.
