Abstract
The period of the founding cities of the twentieth century is a significant season for the reorganization of the territory, thinking about the development of agriculture and the resolution of economic and social problems; it corresponds to a political action that attempts to tackle ancient issues and to architecture to experiment with new languages. The failure of economic development is followed by a phase of important interdisciplinary studies that make Sicily a laboratory of ideas; signs and testimonies are still connected to architecture today, offering themselves as a model on which to reconstruct a posthumous utopia.
