Dialectics can play an effective critical-cognitive function in that, although caught in the mesh of «identity thinking», it is capable of redesigning the conceptual structure, making it permeable to what its rigid classification procedures inevitably tend to oppress and conceal. If dialectics is not a logic of truth, if indeed it reveals an inevitable compromise with the illusory knowledge produced byconceptual identification, it represents the only chance of transformation of identity thinking.
