Abstract

One international week dedicated to design, created and produced by Aiap from the 6th to the 11th of October, in which Naples suddenly became the European capital of graphic design, generously hosting the many guests and the public which arrived to follow the occasion's many events, featuring seminars, workshops, conferences, round tables, exhibitions, open studios, discussions. The event, featuring an unusual structure not far from Design weeks taking place in many European cities, La manifestazione, focused its' multiple points of view on the contemporary, while of course not forgetting all that belongs to design's recent past, analyzed through a series of exhibitions which, starting with important international experiences, such as the retrospect dedicated to Armando Milani, made their way to the homage to Franco Canale and Alfredo Profeta, “pioneers” of Neapoletan graphic design.
