Comunicare per valorizzare: un progetto per il sito Archeologico di Eraclea Minoa

Risultato della ricerca: Conference contribution

Abstract

Innovative multimedia processes and languages are transforming traditional cultural heritage enhancement systems. The pervasive spread of digital and virtual technologies has in fact allowed the elaboration of particularly effective tools and methods for the communication and enhancement also of the intangible aspects of objects and sites characterized by their historical value and by the cultural meanings they transmit. In particular the complexity and richness of cultural implications typical of archaeological sites, today require effective elements of information and communication to activate involvement and full awareness in visitors, even if in the presence of a few visible traces of architecture and urban structures of the past; it is therefore necessary to prepare the possibility of a complete experience through the construction of narratives that draw on the memory of the place and connect in a meaningful way material and immaterial elements of its history. The article presents the results of a design experimentation centered on the design of multimedia communication, on the archaeological site of Eraclea Minoa, a place where archeology, architecture and landscape come together in a unique essential in the visitor's experience; a communicative artifact that proposes, with a simple and immediate visual language, a "multidimensional" site vision, full of information and scientific references.
