Abstract
While migraine has been considered for a long timea disease of the head vascular structures, it has beenmore and more evident that the involvement of thecerebral cortex has a primary role in the cascade ofevents which trigger the migraine attacks. Neurophysiologicalstudies gave an important contribution to ourknowledge of the mechanisms underlying the migrainedisease
