Abstract
This essay focuses on the way in which Marxism acts in the European reality, relating its effects in the scenario of the age of secularization. The paradox consists in the fact that Marxian thought becomes an unconscious ally of the bourgeois spirit, that is, divulging the logic of consumerism and a secularized lifestyle as a parameter of action.
