Abstract
The strong interest in applied arts, which is constantly growing, witnessed by a renewed attention of some institutions and the flourishing of associations, work groups, cooperatives and various aggregations aimed at restoring value and importance to the culture of doing, make well hope for the future. This renewed interest in the culture of doing confirms that we are facing a real new phenomenon and the designer's attention to art, to new subjects, to new techniques - both rich and rich - to systems self-production. If before the design had to respond to the social need to have mass-produced, aesthetically adequate, expressive products, today it must adapt to the urgency of innovation in the evolving market.
