Application of multi-criteria decision making to PMISs assessment

Abstract

This paper builds on a previous study concerning the assessment and ranking ofProject Management Information Systems (PMISs) features and the comparisonof a PMISs software sample. In such an application a Multi-Criteria DecisionMaking (MCDM) tool such as the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was adoptedto get the ranking by neglecting the mutual influence of elements within thestructure. The present paper aims at taking into account such influences by relyingon the Analytic Network Process (ANP) for the assessment and ranking offeatures, while the PMISs software assessment has been performed through theAHP via the direct assessment.
