Abstract
With reference to the 2009 update of theAmerican Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons posi-tion paper,Bisphosphonate-Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaws(BRONJ), a relevant modification to the previous classification has been made and a new stage (0) added. The latterstage has been defined as “patients with no clinical evidence ofnecrotic bone, but who present with nonspecific symptomsor clinical and radiographic findings . . .” and the need forvarious clinical and radiologic aspects in defining this condi-tion was confirmed..
