Abstract

In this paper, the results of a geometricinvestigation of plasmonic nanoantennas for energy harvestingapplications in terms of field enhancement and available powerare presented. Optimum performances are obtained by aparticular arrow-shaped bowtie nanoantennas geometry. Thenovel nanoantenna geometry is here presented. The simulationsof the novel nanoantennas made of aluminum, on a three-layerssubstrate, composed by silicon, silicon oxide, and aluminum, carried out with CST 2018 tool, are reported and compared withthe classical bowtie nanoantennas ones. This study can guideboth the engineering and the fabrication of plasmonicnanoantennas.
