Abstract

Theory and practice, action and reflection, object and subject, care of others and self-care, are the pillars of a pedagogy aimed at Bildung understood as the spiritual tension of the ego and awareness of an inner growth to which every man can and must rise to his true human condition.This work is divided into two parts: the first part is aimed at outlining a historical reconstruction of the concept of Bildung, focusing mainly on the meaning and meaning that Edith Stein has offered to the world of pedagogy; in the second part of the work, we want to identify the importance of adopting the reflective technique of autobiographical narration to bring out the validity that it possesses in structuring a Bildung path in the professional identity of the university teacher, with the aim of raising awareness their skills and professional way of acting.
