Abstract

[automatically translated] The water erosion prediction to the time scale of the single event is of particular interest since the overall loss in soil of a multi-year period is generally determined by the most significant events. Recently, using the soil loss measurements obtained on bare land installed in three Italian experimental stations (Sparacia, Sicily; Masse, in Umbria; Caratozzolo, in Calabria), was developed an empirical model, called CIS (Central and Southern Italy ), for the estimation of soil loss to event scale. This memory contains the results of the verification of the applicability of said model which was conducted using the complex of measures available to date for the three experimental stations. The model was adjusted to take into account the residual influence of the sloping plot on the estimation of soil loss that had previously been neglected. The correction does not change the original structure of the mathematical model. Finally, the model was recalibrated maximizing the Nash-Sutcliffe index calculated on the overall data available.
